Training
Missouri Citizens for the Arts (MCA) offers free training workshops and webinars. Offered statewide in collaboration with local arts agencies, these sessions educate arts advocates on how to effectively communicate the importance of public funding for the arts to elected officials and key leaders. Advocacy workshops include tips for visiting with legislators and attending a school board meeting and teach how you as a voter can influence others to win support for the arts in your community.
Attend a Free Advocacy Training Workshop in Your Area
MCA staff and volunteers present free advocacy workshops around the state on an annual basis, generally in the late fall and early winter months (and we’ll do it more often, if we get requests). Currently, there are no sessions scheduled, but if you are interested in hosting a workshop, please contact us and we will work with you to organize one in your area.
